Seeking the Lead Dock Master to oversee drydock and shiplift evolutions. We are seeking an experienced Dock Master or someone with comparable expertise.
You will be responsible for supervising all dry docking and undocking operations while ensuring the safety of personnel, ship being docked, and the safe operation of the dry docks at all times.
Ensures project team compliance with all company & OSHA regulated safety requirements/standards.
Ensure compliance with appropriate Company, EPA, OSHA, and USCG regulations.
Ensure maintenance and associated record keeping of the dry dock and shiplift.
Plans and executes safe dry docking evolutions and vessel launchings.
Maintains positive stability of all vessels under company control.
Plans and schedules manpower, material, and equipment.
Trains personnel in the various aspects of dry dock operation and maintenance.
Supervises personnel assigned during vessel drydocking evolutions, vessel launching ,vessel movements, dry dock maintenance, and preparations for aforementioned.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering and/or previous dry dock management expertise.
Must have the ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
