As an Marine Engineering Instructor, you will play a key role in shaping the next generation of maritime professionals. This position involves sharing your knowledge and expertise with individuals pursuing careers at sea.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Instruction: Deliver high-quality maritime education and training courses that meet international standards for seagoing competence.
  • Assessment: Conduct STCW assessments of competence in accordance with approved course documentation.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen, permanent resident, or legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Experience, training, or verifiable instruction in effective teaching techniques, or
  • Completion of a 40-hour Train-the-Trainer or Assessor course (reimbursement may be available through the training center).
  • A minimum of three years of experience as a Chief Engineer of motor vessels with a minimum power of 3,000 kW / 4,000 HP and a manned engine room, or equivalent military experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a maritime instructor.
  • Strong understanding of maritime regulations and international standards.
  • Familiarity with maritime simulation tools and training technologies.
  • Experience as a Chief Engineer on motor vessels with unlimited propulsion.
  • Teaching or instructional certification.
